I am excited to Partner with Dannon today to share some great post-workout snacks!

I have always enjoyed working out.   From the time that I was about 14, I have been doing some sort of exercise… running, lifting, kickboxing, step.

I, unlike my husband, am hungry as soon as I finish working out.  I have always been the one to go home and have a snack after a hard workout.   Refuel my body, so to say.   Today I am sharing 5 post-workout snacks!

1- Protein Balls.

They are so good.  I could seriously eat the whole container of these, but I try to practice portion control.  (haha!)   You might want to make them without the M&Ms (I throw those in for the kids…  yep, just for the kids.   I would never eat M&M’s after a hard workout!   … fingers crossed behind back.)
Just throw these ingredients together in a bowl & combine:

1 cup (dry, old-fashioned) oatmeal1/2 cup almond butter (or PB)1/2 cup ground flaxseed1/2 cup mini chocolate chips1/3 cup honey or agave nectar2/3 cup any kind of nuts (I take pecans, walnuts… and I grind them in the magic bullet)1 tsp. vanilla extract1/4 c. raisins (optional)Combine & roll into little balls.
I store them in the refrigerator.

2- Make a smoothie.

This is easy.
Throw in your favorite flavor of GREEK Activia Yogurt (I use the greek light… more on that for #3).   You could use Activia Light Yogurt or Activia Fiber Yogurt – I have made it with all of these & they are all great.
Add a few of your favorite fruits
Add a little ice
Top it off with some juice or milk to make it creamy.

3- Activia Greek  or Activia Greek Light-

It is a lighter version of our popular Greek Yogurt. Activia Greek Light is 80 calories and has all of the benefits of Activia Greek, including 0% fat, 2X the protein vs. regular low-fat yogurt (contains 14% of the DV of protein (7g) than regular low-fat yogurt), and digestive benefits per 5.3 oz. Plus it comes in so many flavors (my favorite is the cherry, but they have Strawberry, Blueberry, peach  & vanilla, too)
A great way to stay motivated to eat right (Try doing the activia challenge– you get your money back if it doesn’t work!) & to work out is to try it with others, so grab your best friend, sister, or neighbor, and have them get started today!   We are doing the challenge in our house and let me tell you that it works.   My husband and I both have sensitive stomachs (don’t even try to give us fried foods or we get upset stomachs!) and taking the Activia challenge has really helped us both to feel better (digestive benefits!)

4- Fruit.

Spice it up a bit and make fruit kabobs and keep them ready to go in the refrigerator.  Just grab one when you get home and enjoy your snack!

5- Muffins.

These are my favorite… find the recipe by clicking on the picture below.
