This week, Mickey and I decided to make the kids a DIY Box Fireplace. Ā It’s one of our new favorite Christmas hacks…

Here is what you need to make it (affiliate links to Amazon to get what you need):

6 Cardboard Boxes
Packaging Tape
Brick Covering.

First, tape up each box.
Next, tape two together. Ā Do this again with two others. Ā  You will have two ā€œtowersā€.
Now put them together – you are making a Ā boxy ā€œuā€ type of shape with your boxes.
Cover it with your brick covering.

To make the fire, Mickey took brown lunch bags and filled them with paper towels. Ā He cut up a plastic garbage bag and put it on a fan (taped it around the outside) to make them look like flames. Ā We haveĀ a light that changes colors with an app, so he made it red.

The kids have had a BLAST playing Santa & the North Pole!

Ps- you can leave this key out, too.
