This is a great activity for teaching your kids colors! Egg Carton Color Sorting

First, WASH your egg carton! (Really scrub it!) (See all of those lovely bubbles?)

Next, pick the colors that you are going to use. I just grabbed my “paint box” down and picked out the colors that I wanted to use.

Get your paint brush ready (& your helper, complete with an apron!) Start painting!

Let it dry and then…

Go on a “color hunt”. Take your egg carton with you & go around your house, looking for items to put in the carton.

Extensions:
Sing the color song
Talk about mixing colors (take primary colors & mix them!)
