Free educational music videos for kids
Many of you know that I am a Mom of four little ones and a play therapist. Â I am always looking for ways to educate our kids and my clients, as well as getting them involved. Â Singing is fantastic therapy for children! Â They actually have music therapist that spend the entire therapy session singing with their clients. Â When I found this site that I am going to share with you (SumahoMAMA), the first thing that came to my mind was âOh- the boys will love this!â Â The second thing is âWow- this is perfect for play therapy!â Â I was a teacher, as well, so I would have had this in my classroom if I were still teaching, too.
If you are looking for kid songs and music videos, you have to check this out.
I often (at least twice a day) get onto youtube and search things like âItsy Bitsy Spiderâ. Â The only problem is that all too often, an inappropriate pop-up or video will be on the sidebar. Â This is not what I want when I am sharing these videos with our four young children.
I was excited to finally find a website that has appropriate songs, fingerplays & videos on a kid website! Â It is just like a Music Amusement Park!
Â
It is called SumahoMAMA music amusement park! Â It is a âmagical toy chestâ that is full of the most popular kids songs, put together and designed and crafted by MOMS who know best what real kids love. Â I love that! Â Who knows a child better than their own mother? Â I trust a site that is made for their children.
Here is a little video that I found that describes it better than I could (seeing is believing, isnât it?)
This was created in Japan and has already had over 1.2 million downloads in Japan. Â Â Here are a few examples of some of the free songs: âThe Hokey Pokeyâ and âAlphabet Songsâ Â (ps- our kids LOVE the hokey pokey. Â I forgot to play that one with them until I saw this. Â I used to sing this song in elementary school, too!)
Here are some of the ways that you can find it:
