Make a clock out of your pictures
Do you want to display family pictures in a fun creative way?Ā I love to have our home organized, so I donāt like a lot of clutter on end tables and things, which is why this is perfect! (See our 40 days to home organization for more tips on de-cluttering!)
I wanted to share this next decorating tip because everyone that comes into our home comments on it.
What you will need:
12 picture frames (I got the same style of frames to give it a more cohesive look.)
12 photos
Nails
Clock Motor with hands
Cardstock to make the hands on the clock bigger.
Measuring tape
Pencil
Hammer
How to make it:
I took four large pictures (8X10ās) for the 12, 3, 6, 9 hours. (I have to replace the top one with our newest babyās picture) For the other pictures, I used smaller 5X7 pictures.
We bought the clock motor & hands at Michaels (with a 40% off coupon, of course!) To make them bigger, we cut black cardstock into the shape of the hands that we wanted (little arrows) & glued them on top of the little metal hands from Michaels.
Before you nail in the pictures, you will want to measure where they will go- starting with your 12, 3, 6, 9 hours. (Do this because they are bigger- it would be easier to use all the same size, but I wanted it this way).
Use a pencil to mark where each nail will go. Double check it with the measuring tape to be sure that they are all the correct distance from the motor in the middle.
It is a simple way to add pictures into your room without having them all over the place. They are contained in one area and give a clean, welcoming look! It is easy to do & you can change out the pictures as your family changes and grows.
