March college basketball season is getting close! I wanted to share a few hosting tips (and a recipe) with you so that you can have your friends over to enjoy it with you while you watch the big games!

First, shop when the sales are happening.

We have a Food Lion® really close to our house (about a mile), so we usually watch their sales and stock up on items we love. A great example is the sale that they are having now, from March 3rd through the 16th. When shoppers use their MVP card to buy 10 General Mills’ products, they get a $5 credit on their receipt to use on their next shopping trip.

Second, have snacks ready!

A great little snack idea that I love is what we call “White Chocolate Trash”.

Here is how to make it:

Mix all of these things in a bowl, using as much or as little as you want (I usually use around 1/2 of each bag).

· Cheerios

· Chips

· Popcorn

· Peanuts (optional)

· M&Ms

Lay foil or wax paper onto your countertop.

Spread the mix onto the wax paper/foil.

Melt a bag of white chocolate. I like to melt one cup at a time in a glass measuring cup.

Pour it onto the mix and mix it around to be sure that it is well-coated.

Let it dry.

Enjoy! It is the BEST appetizer/snack and everyone will be sure to ask for it.

Lastly, have fun with your guests and enjoy watching the game! Nothing is worse than a stressed host or hostess. Relax and have a great time with your friends!

To help you get excited for college basketball and the #FoodLionSale I’m hosting a giveaway, where one lucky winner a $50.00 Gift Card to Food Lion®. A winner will be selected on March 28th and Burst Media will be responsible for prize fulfillment. Good Luck!
